Please excuse the mess, we're making masterpieces!

In art class, students think, learn, communicate, create, express and explore! Students will work in a variety of media and techniques to produce studio pieces. They will draw, paint, make collages, produce ceramics, create prints, explore fiber arts and experiment with current art trends. Students learn art history, multiculturalism, function and form, aesthetics and practical application to the world around us.

The WGES art program takes their efforts beyond the art classroom. Student artwork is displayed in our main hallway, at the Board of Education, and in the Walton County community. WGES Visual Arts  participates in the Annual Walton County School District's  Elementary Art Exhibit at the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts since its inception as well as our end-of-the-year Fine Arts Night!

Check your student's schedule to find out when they come to art! Nice clothes are not recommended on Art days!
